CHERISH SEMINAR/WORKSHOP - 30 April 2021


 University of the Philippines Visayas Iloilo, De La Salle University - Manila (DLSU-Manila), Central Philippine University and University College London in cooperation with the LGU- Iloilo City is conducting the CHERISH SEMINAR/WORKSHOP ON SEISMIC HAZARD ASSESSMENT & RAPID VISUAL SURVEY OF EXISTING (HERITAGE) BUILDINGS on April 30, 2021 (8:30 AM to 4:30 PM) via Zoom.

CHERISH or Cultural Heritage Resilience and Sustainability to multiple Hazards is project funded by CHED and the Newton Fund. The objectives of the activity are (a) To enhance the capability of the academe, the LGU, and relevant institutions to conduct Rapid Visual Survey (RVS) of buildings with an emphasis on previously assessed Heritage Buildings in Calle Real in seismic risk assessment, and (b) To get feedback from the participants about the modules, RVS checklist, and related policies.

CESDR Disaster Resilient Unit members - Dr. Andres Oreta, Dr. Lessandro Garciano, Engr. Richard De Jesus and Dr. Rodolfo Mendoza, Jr. are the DLSU researchers for this project and will serve as speakers/trainors.
