You are invited to attend the 3rd JAAP Research Symposium and
General Assembly Meeting to be
held on July 27, 2015 at SMX Mall of Asia. The event highlights keynote papers
on the theme, “Disaster Resilience
through Science and Technology.”
Prof. Akihiro Kijima, PhD of the Graduate School of Agricultural Sciences, Tohoku
University will present a paper on “The TEAMS (Tohoku Ecosystem-Associated Marine Science) Project: Restoring the Rich Ocean Through Science." The
TEAMS Project is an attempt to scientifically investigate the impact of March
2011 Tohoku earthquake and tsunami catastrophe on the ecosystems along the
coastal and offshore areas of Iwate Prefecture to Miyagi Prefecture and assesses
the changes of the ecosystems through the process of recovery.

Prof. Masashi Takahashi, MD, Professor and
Director, Center for Disaster Medicine and Education Faculty of Medicine,
Niigata University will present a paper on “New
Information Technology for Disaster Medicine Using Geographic Information System
in Japan.”
The event will be held from 8:00 AM to 5:00
PM. The keynote papers presentation will
