DLSU Faculty Members of CESDR Disaster Resilience Unit actively participated at the 2nd National Conference of the Philippine Academic Society on Climate and Disaster Resilience (PASCDR) with the theme, “From Discourses to Actions: Mobilizing the Academe for Disaster Risk Reduction and Climate Change Adaptation and Mitigation.” The conference was held last October 25-27, 2023 at the University of the Philippines, Diliman, QC. DLSU Department of Civil Engineering faculty also members of the Center for Engineering and Sustainable Development Research (CESDR) – Disaster Resilience Unit presented in the parallel sessions. The title of the papers and the presentors are:

Dr. Oreta chaired the plenary session Engineering Solutions to DRR on Oct. 26, 2023. Dr. Oreta was also appointed as one of the trustees of the soceity together with DLSU co-faculty members, Dr. Marlon Era and Dr. Marites Tiongco.
During the board meeting of the new officers of PASCDR, it was decided that the 3rd National Conference of PASCDR will be hosted by De La Salle University in 2025.
